Every artist in Texas has to paint the State Flower, right? This scene captured in pastels vibrates with the color of the bluebonnets against the red of the Indian Paintbrush. You can find these blooms in late March and early April along many of the Texas highways and open fields. With a painting you can enjoy them all year long.

Pastel on Pastelbord, 16 x 12 inches. Framed against museum glass in dark plein air frame.

This painting is in a private collection in Kentucky.
