Yard Art 3

This painting was done outside in Jo's back yard. Pastels are a great way to show the texture of trees and plants. To catch the fleeting light is quite difficult, but it looks easy in this painting. The painting was in the Austin Pastel Society Show in July 2009, at the Scarbrough building. It was awarded an Honorable Merit Award. You can see it in the frame here on Jo's blog.

Pastel on Pastelbord, 5 x 7 inches, framed in a dark wooden frame with gold trim on the liner edge. In private collection in Bastrop, Texas.
