A note about The First Friday Art Walk in Bastrop, Texas: On the first Friday of every month, downtown Historic Bastrop hosts artists from the area. Galleries and other businesses stay open late, restaurants stay open, some have live music. There is child care available at a downtown church. The artist receptions are from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30p.m. It is an entertaining way to get to know artists and Bastrop. Hope to see you there! Jo takes part in a few of the receptions.

The month of February, 2015, at Art Connections. Their artwork is different, Jo paints with pastels in a colorful impressionistic way, her heARTful landscapes and scenes. Sharon says, "My art is largely intuitive and improvisational."

The gallery has work by about 80 artists in media of all categories. Jewelry, weaving, sculpture, dolls, glass, pottery and much more. Wood works and kaleidoscopes. You need to visit many times and often to see all there is to see.

Seventh Annual Exhibit in Magdalena, New Mexico, at Peppers Art Gallery in July, 2010. Jo painted with a demonstration on Friday, July 9, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., had a public reception on Saturday, July 10, 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., and was there on Sunday, July 11, 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. The Old Timers event has every year, a rodeo with cowboys over 50 years old, a parade, exhibits, food including a pancake breakfast and barbeque and much more.
Hill Country Autumn Jo had her painting, Hill Country Autumn in the The Austin Pastel Society Annual Juried Member Exhibition, March 8 - May 1, 2010, at the Corridor of Art, 700 Lavaca St., Austin, Texas. The exhibit is open regular banking hours. The awards reception will be held on March 21, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., free and open to the public.
