Jo and Gene (spouse) and their children lived in Bolivia for about 10 years at two different times, it the seventies and the nineties. They lived in La Paz and Jo thinks of Bolivia as her second country. Her paintings are filled with her appreciation of the landscape and people of Bolivia.
